Zooming footage

Something that I'm color correcting that was shoot 4K and then transfered in Log and Transfer (FCP) to QT wrapped native R3D files that are 1820x1080 ProRes (HQ).

The director editing has zoomed into footage at places 140%, while I'm amazed at how well it is holding up I would like to get it cleaner. I don't have all the files from the card, just the above QT but I have a sample off-load of a card from the camera. The only way I have found to do the zooming in on the original size is the beta program REDCINE. Is that the only way to do this or have I overlooked the an easier (more stable) way to do it.

Thanks.

Clipfinder (Freeware) is more stable and can crop and zoom from the native files.

Hope this helps,

If you need more complex zooming (keyframing and what not) you could also try using After Effects CS4 with the RED plug-in.
