Anyone going to RED color correction/workflow seminar in January?
on Dec 16, 2008 at 6:49:51 pm

Is anyone going to this seminar "Image, Color, and Workflow Management using 3cP and the RED Camera"

I just copied directly over from the hosts site what the seminar was featuring.

1. Direct import of .r3d raw camera footage
2. On-set color correction with realtime playback
3. The ability to generate dailies for editorial proxies
4. Interface to post-production and DI via DPX and Quicktime intermediates
5. The transfer of color information via ASC-CDL and 3D LUTs, plus all the features of 3cP
6. Latest updates on RED camera technology developments.

Anyone going? has anyone ever used 3cP? and is it any good?

forgot! here is the site link. http://www.gammadensity.com

thanks!

Yeah but do you really think anyone here is fooled that you're not involved with it? Especially as you've recently registered on a number of other sites just to mention it. There's nothing wrong with pimping your stuff but at least be up front about it...

Noah,
Well as I do completely see what you mean and did not even think that would be an issue. In actuality, I haven't gotten any feedback from anyone. The only thing i got was directly from Gamma Density and no other users. That is the reason my profile is brand new. The seminar seemed interesting to me, but I am just a student at Chapman University and didnt want to spend money on something i didnt know credible. You can reach me at bauer103@chapman.edu if you want to contact me directly though. sorry for the misunderstanding

[Jay Bauer] "The only thing i got was directly from Gamma Density and no other users."

Jay
that is a sales session to promote the Gamma and Density tools for purchase.

Save your money and go to NAB There will be plenty of training sessions put on at NAB on RED
I am doing at least 2 of them - one in the NAB's Director of Photography track and one in the Digital Video Track- both of them will not be focused on selling you one product but looking at what is possible in the RED workflow with a variety of products on both platforms.

NAB Sessions and info go online in Late January

(and yes I am plugging my own stuff)
