yesterday the worst case szenario happend to me during shooting a commercial:
A RedRaid was formatted ( in camera) prior data saving!
Any advices how to restore the Data (about 10GB of 4K 3RD footage)?
I´m using mac (i heard it is probably only possible with an XP-PC).
The Raid was just formatted, after formatting, the raid was not in use any more.
So, no files got overwritten, right?
Just the directory is deleted, right?
Is there a "easy" software based possibility to recover?
Thank you Stuart,
but my prob is, i have to get the project finished by the end of this week.
No time left to send the raid to RED/USA and back to germany.
Fortunately on the raid is not a MUST-HAVE shot, in terms of the surviving of the project, but one of the best (most nicest) shots is on the raid ...
I´m searching for a quick and easy "try-it-yourself-way" to get back my data.
If it would be 50% risk, OK!
I need hints for a "do it yourself" solution!
Sure, if this shots would be 1000nds of $ worth, i would contact a prof. data saving company, but in this case the $$$$ are not existing to pay the prof. company ! (-;
I tried DataRescueII, but the software can not "understand" RED R3D Files!
All the best,
and thank you all for further input!
