Color Grading for Red cam footage..
on Aug 21, 2008 at 6:28:07 pm

It is first time to deal with project done by REDcam .
so it edited by Final Cut..

So what should i do to export it to combustion to deal with it as 4K?
and what should i render back form combustion to view at Final Cut at 4K resolution..

can i export it from FCP as TGA?
then Back to FCP?

best regards..
Romy

[romy marx] "So what should i do to export it to combustion to deal with it as 4K? "

Export 4K dpx or tiffs from RED Alert or RED Cine.

I'm not trying to be mean, but it sounds like you're really clueless about the different options for RED workflows.

What are you finishing to? That will help us try to figure out what to do.

You might want to edit the spot at 1080P ProRes. Then for what ever files you need in Combustion, use REDAlert to export 4K DPX files (huge files!!!!). When you're done in Combustion, render the files out to ProRes 1080P.

To have Crimson handy is not a bad option either.

"In Search of a Midnight Kiss" now in theaters!
