I really need help on this! been at it for 2 days

You're on the right track. First, do a normal HDV render. Second, do an AC-3 render. And finally, do a remux in which you replace the audio track from the HDV render with the audio track from the AC-3 render. You can use software such as TMPGEnc's Smart Renderer for remuxing. Or you can probably use FFMPEG. It's a command line program and a bit more difficult to use, but its freeware. I use FFMPEG all the time for remuxing AAC audio files with MP4 files. You could also search the tools section in Videohelp.com for other software that supports remuxing.

Thanks alot, I am using Tsumuxer right now, trying to figure it out.
Can't afford the one you mentioned right now. Will repost with results

Tsmuxer does not work importing m2t files. Tried it with both v1.1 and v2.6. Moreover, there is no export option for m2t files, only .ts or .m2ts files. Did you search the tools section on Videohelp? I'll try FFMPEG and if that's successful, I'll post the necessary command line.

One thing you can do with TSmuxer is first do your render from Vegas so that the output is elementary streams (m2v and mpa). The m2v file and ac3 files can then be loaded into TSmuxer and you can create a m2ts file directly.

I am now using Telestream Episode 7.1
This looks like just the program I am looking for.
I have rendered the file as M2T, With AC3 Audio.
However, look at this:

Overall bit rate : 15.2 Mbps

I was specifically told to have a bitRate not exceeding 15.
And I cannot get this program to render below 15.2.
And now i cannot find the option to change Bandwidth, as stated in the manual.
Always some kind of road block. Almost there!! Man this is day 3 trying to figure this out !!

Just lower your bit rate when rendering from within Vegas.

Okay I will try that (m2v)..

Yes, I looked at VideoHelp conversion forum, downloaded all the tools listed, & have not been able to get any to do what I need.
You are correct about Tsumixer not importing M2t.

I have also tried using Super, using "Copy Stream" (which says will not change the video), and Audio Output: AC3.
But it just renders to an .MPG file. I see no options for M2ts/M2t containers.

I understand ffmpeg is hard to install. I will try it again, as I could not get it to work before

Okay, so using Super, i successfully got AC3 audio on an M2Ts file. I was wrong, there is both a .ts and .M2Ts container.

However, I don't think the Telvue Adcaster accepts M2Ts.
And of course, the adcaster is currently down, so i cannot test it.
Frustrating!
