Hi, I've been trying various rendering methods to try to find the best rendering format (best quality at an efficient rendering speed (prioritised in that order)) to save a 10min video onto a pen drive to be played through DVD players and TVs. At present I am recording in SD as I am creating DVDs but I would hope to change this to HD for better quality should I successfully find a suitable format.
Thanks in advance!
There is no standard so you would have to consult with the DVD or TV manufacturer and see what format they support. Each manufacturer supports something slightly different so what you seek is not obtainable for a broad range of playback devices. The best you can do is render to AVC/H.264 MP4 and hope for the best but I'm guessing some DVD players will want DivX in an AVI file. There just isn't one standard so there really is no general answer to your question.
