Sony vegas 13 best settings for 4k to youtube
on Sep 12, 2015 at 1:41:54 pm

Hey,
I'm new to the forum so excuse me if I make mistakes haha.

Me and my friend just shot a Timelapse using the Xiaomi Yi camera. 4 hours long photos with 5 second interval.
the size/quality of the pictures are 4608x3456. How can I upload this to youtube in 4k with the best quality and no black bars(on the sides) just the full frame. What render settings and profile should I use? Also what project settings?

Any questions for more information will be answered quickly!
Excuse me for my bad english

Greetingz,
Tim

I don't know the answer to your question, but check the link you put into that text for that link. The text has the correct link, meaning I can copy and paste it into my browser. But when I click on it it directs me to a broken link, which you have inserted in there.

4608x3456 is 4:3 aspect not 16:9. If you want your video to be 16:9 and not have black bars, start a new project and set your project template to 4K 16:9 24p (4096x2304, 23.976 fps). Then create your image sequence from the images. Finally, open Pan/Crop on the event from your image sequence and right-click on the Pan/Crop window and select Match Output Aspect. This will remove the black bars by cropping your 4:3 video to 16:9. You may want to adjust the crop to make sure it doesn't remove important parts of the picture.

Hey thanks for the reply.
I've actually found an more easy and better way to do this. Right click the video on the video track. Then go to switches and then uncheck maintain aspect ratio. This way you won't lose any parts of the pictures.
Still thank you for your help!
This is what it became now:

I wouldn't call it better at all. What you did what stretch the video out of shape. Yes it was easier. Not better in my book when circles become ovals but 99% of TV viewers seem to think that 4:3 stretch to 16:9 is the correct way to view TV so what do I know. lol Glad you're happy with it.
