Hello John,
Not sure who else to ask and I understand you created Ultimate S Pro for Vasst. I posed a question a few days ago about multi-camera editing and someone suggested I purchase Ultimate S Pro. Long story short, I just tried to send the following email to support@vasst.com (link on the Vasst contact page). Does this company even exist anymore?
Thanks,

Hello (Vasst),

I used to have an Ultimate S Pro license years ago, but discovered it no longer works with Vegas Pro 12, my current version. At the suggestion of someone on the Creative Cow Vegas forum I was going to buy it again for multicamera editing, but I encountered so many problems on your website, I'm wondering if this company is still in business.

The promotions link states 30% off for software for coupon code BLK30 but the cart does not recognize this as a valid promotion code. When I click go to final check out from the cart, nothing happened. Your email contacts return browser errors on my PC and I had to send this email from my mac.

Please advise.

Hi Mary,

Yes, we still exist and yes, our main support email seems to have been disabled. :( We are looking into this and hopefully will have everything working again soon.

I'm not sure if that coupon is still valid. It was for Black Friday and should have been removed.

If you have any previous version of Ultimate S Pro you are entitled to a discount on the new version. The discount schedule is on our web site at the bottom of the Ultimate S Pro page. Please send your email to ultimatesupport at the vasst web site and I'll get you set up.

Thanks,

~jr

Thank you for your reply John. I'm having trouble finding the ultimate support email address on the site. The email addresses I see are the disabled ones. I have my original registration information and will send it if you can give me the address. my email is mwaitrovich at wisc.edu

Thanks!

[Steve Rhoden] "Hearing several complaints of late of customers not being able to get thru on VASST and wondering if still in business!"
Our web guy was out on vacation for week when all of this happened so that's why no one noticed until customers brought it to our attention. We're working on getting everything back to normal now.

John,

I'm considering buying Vasst Render Assistant for batch processing, though I can't find info on whether you can setup batch rendering across different projects.

I have a project that uses 3 different nested projects: Rendering inside one, replaces files to be rendered by the next level, and so on (it's a complex short film utilizing various fx/masking/blending modes that is more easily handled this way).

I've been using Vegasaur to render each of these nested projects, and it handles it effortlessly across projects even when the other projects aren't open. Can Vasst Render Assistant accomplish this, or can it only batch from within one project at a time?

Hi Glenn, Render Assistant only renders the current project to multiple formats. It does not batch render projects. Sony Production Assistant and VASST Ultimate S Pro both have the capability to batch render projects but Render Assistant does not.

Thanks John, I'll check out ProdAsst2.

An aside: I've posted 3-4 times on the Vegas board here in the past month or two, and have yet to receive one response -- and they're not dumb questions. Am I blocked or something? I have no idea why my posts wouldn't be seen. I ask because:

I'm finishing up a complex short film wherein the dailies were up-rezzed from DV to HD and post-finished solely in Vegas Pro 11. I wrote up a 4-page PDF detailing how I used a 5-level Nested hierarchy; I'd like to post this on the Cow in case the users (1) could benefit from my experience, or (2) have a better method by which I could've achieved my results.

I know you're a busy guy but for the life of me, I can't understand why my questions have been ignored or perhaps not seen.

Thanks,
Glenn
