I found all of this really interesting but does it really worth all the pain ? When does using ACES our ACEScc become really important to use ?

If you are asking that question Timothee, then it's not really for your
kind of workflow.

That might be indeed but can you tell me why ^^ ? Just wonder for what type of specific demand working with ACES or ACEScc becomes really usefull and I don't deny it is :).

[Timothée Ferreol] "ACES or ACEScc becomes really usefull"

I don't know about the other kids but for myself it is a workflow that allows for basic color grading, matching multiple cameras of a live shoot in post or production that is shot over a time period, like a feature film. A workflow that assists in producing a consistent look with predictable results. Yes I can use roundtrip workflow like color grading in Resolve or some other app but working with the ACES workflow allows processing of the files without the need to generate more files which in turn saves time and storage space. Also it allows for a known color space output directed at a specific player. IE broadcast, web viewing or a theater projector.
The work flow is also more forgiving allowing for a bigger fudge factor when shooting. Or perhaps if there is a desire to attain a consistent look in a series shot on a weekly basis. Basically the same reasons for the desire to shoot in raw.

Granted the procedure at first glance seems more work than winging it but once it is set up it may well be quicker than starting each shot or episode from scratch. In short it may well lead to a faster production workflow. Also keep in mind that the ACES and ACEScc is a standard and can be deployed across all applications that support it as well as platforms. Time is money as they say.
But hey, that's just me.

Russ you made it totally clear ! Thank you. I totally get it now especailly because I shoot all my footage on Visioncolor picture profile, grading using their LUT so I have a sort of idea about saving time in color correction ^^
