MPEG.LA want our money to convert H.264/AVC to Quick Time Photo Jpg? Is this normal?

To encode to something else you are covered by the decoder license in Vegas.

Technically if you sell a video encoded in AVC format you might be required to pay a fee. Unless you are a selling massive quantities like commercial DVD/Blu-Ray don't worry about it. It would cost MPEG-LA more money to deal with the little guys than the money they would actually receive.

And what about selling videos on sites such as Shutterstock, Pond5, VideoHive where people are selling thousands of movies ... Or you must have a license for codecs?

Does Sony Vegas Pro 13 can use two people commercially? The program is registered in the name of her husband. We have no business.
