Upper Field First was Default should I switch to Progressive?

Hey all. I am really confused I have been trying to figure out the best results when rendering with SVPro 13. I noticed that in the properties, the filed option has always been Upper field first. Is that correct when shooting with a Panasonic GH3? usually 1080p 24fps / 30fps sometimes for slow mo I shoot 60fps.

I tried searching but all the results are outdated it seems. I am wondering if I have been losing out on better results by leaving it on upper field first instead of progressive.

all though the footage looks pretty good I just would like to know the reasoning behind upper and progressive. And what you would recommend I set it to using GH3 sometimes AVHCD sometimes .mov not sure if that matters.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: So I think I goofed up.. I was actually seeing the upper field default in the "Project video properties" The button near the top right in the preview window, But when I actually render out. the field order is on none "progressive"

That confused me..

Its nothing complex nor anything to be confused about, in your
project properties you can let the field order remain as
None (progressive scan).
The solution that really makes a difference for better renders,
is to disable resampling on all your events.

Steve... can we set the Disable resample to default...?

I know there's a hidden 'Internal' tab in prefs but I can't find anything in there with the search menu unless it's listed under something else

On occasion I've brought another clip into my project and forgotten to then disable resample until I see the rendered output and have to do it again.... pain... it should be default surely and then if for whatever reason you want to choose resample in some obscure situation you can do so.

Sorry, there is no option available to set it to default.
But the next best thing, and one that i use, is a script.
You have the icon in the toolbar, you select everything on the timeline
when you are done editing, then hit the icon.... Done!

You can get it here:
