I've been using Vegas since version 4 I believe. I'm using Vegas Pro 12 right now & all of a sudden my audio is no longer working correctly in Vegas 12, however my audio programs are working perfectly. So this is a Vegas issue only. The waveforms within Vegas are being temporarily changed. A waveform should always remain the same in it's pattern. As well as the sound coming from that file. Vegas is rewriting the waveform temporarily & mixing different audio files together within that audio file, changing my audio making it unusable. When I close Vegas then reopen Vegas, the files goes back to normal, however, if I magnify the waveform file or cut the audio file, everything goes CRAZY, at least 50% of the time. I have uninstalled & reinstalled Vegas twice. I even tried a different build. No luck. I've been on this build for a year without any problems whatsoever, so I don't understand why all the confusion now. I'm also not online with this system.
I have 3 audio tracks in Vegas. An audio track will all of a sudden cut out, or slow down, or play other sounds from other files, all on that 1 track. I have tried deleting 2 of the audio tracks to see what would happen playing just 1 audio file, no luck, the 1 audio tracks waveform will change as well as it's sound. I have tried to put the audio files in it's own folder, I have tried everything I can think of.
Why & how could Vegas rewrite the waveforms temporarily ? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!
