Vegas 11 ? cookie cutter ?
on Jan 27, 2015 at 8:32:38 pm

Hello again,
Vegas 11 has a "cookie cutter" with several shapes. In particular it has a "rectangle" but it is horizontal (extra wide than tall.) Surely there is a way to change that, so that the rectangle is longer on the vertical than the horizontal dimension???? Or some other workaround to achieve the same result?
Thank you
John

No, but why don't you simply use the Mask in Pan/Crop to make any shape you want. Cookie Cutter is a throw-back from the days before Vegas Pro had Masking. Now you can just draw any mask you want.

Thank you both for your quick and very clear directions on my 3 previous queries (including this one.) Unfortunately, the version of Vegas 11 I'm using does not exhibit these great features! (I think it is 11 Platinum.) - Sadly I just bought an extra copy of the samme V11 for use on another machine...

That's because you are using Movie Studio. When you just say "Vegas" we assume you are using Vegas Pro. If your are using Movie Studio you should say that in your posts so that people don't give you instructions that you can't follow.
