I recorded a .wav file on my Zoom H4N, and wanted to convert to .mp3. I pulled up SVP13 on my workstation, put the .wav file on the timeline, and it shows the waveform as normal. However, when I play it back, the audio is extremely faint (I can barely hear it). Vegas will play other .wav files from this same H4N with no problem.
To troubleshoot, I pulled up SVP13 on my laptop, and it rendered the file just fine--so I did a System Restore on the workstation to a few weeks ago, and the problem persisted. I uninstalled and re-installed SVP13, but I get the same symptoms (SVP13 won't play that particular audio file, but it will play others recorded with the same device).
Why would a .wav file play normally on my laptop, but not on my workstation, when the workstation will play other files recorded with the same device? Did it perhaps get corrupted in copying?
