Analog DX Pad Old Song

I know I've asked this before more than once but where do I put the Analog DX Pad folder so I can use it as an audio effect? I'm in Vegas 13.I can't get it to show up anywhere and there is not a "shared folder" in my V13 folders. Please help...again.

As always thanks so much to you guys...Johnny In Orlando

That depends... is it a DirectX or VST effect? DirectX effects need an installer. VST effects can go in any folder as long as you tell Vegas Pro but the default locations for 64-bit plugins is "C:/Program Files/VSTPlugins".

[John Perez] "It's DirectX."
Then hopefully it came with an installer because DirectX plug-ins need to be properly installed and registered with Windows. This has nothing to do with Vegas. You register it with Windows and then Vegas asks Windows what DirectX plug-ins are installed.

Also be aware that there 32-bit plug-ins and 64-bit plug-ins and 32-bit plug-ins might not show up in the 64-bit version of Vegas Pro. So if you installed it and you're not seeing it that might be why.

OK, i understand but at what point do I have window register the app? Is it when I'm downloading? Or do I open the directx installer and ingest the DX app?

Once you download it, it should have an installer if it's DirectX (i.e., you should have downloaded a file with an EXE extension). Run the installer to install it. If it's just a DLL, it might be a VST and not DirectX.
