How to edit audio of MP4 but leave the video part alone?
on Dec 17, 2014 at 7:18:46 am

Hope someone can help me out with this.
I'm using Movie Studio Platinum HD version 10.
I have an HD MP4 video from a friend that looks great and I just want to improve the sound. I just want to create a project with it and add some audio and mix the audio, but leave the video as is. I don't know if I'm missing something simple or not setting the render specs correctly, but the resulting MP4 video ends up with all this blotchy junk. There has to be a way to render the video so that it looks just like the source. There is only the one video track with no editing done to the video.

I tried setting the project properties to match the source video and matching the render properties as well. What am I missing here? Thanks!

This would be a good place to start to get you some help from us:
  • What is INSIDE that MP4? Use MediaInfo to find out

  • What are you rendering to?
Cheers
