Hi, in the track compressor is there not a preset ** [Sys] Limit levels to -6 (hard limiter)** ? This has done well for me in the past. IF you have Pro 13 it comes with iZotope nectar.

Try Sony Wave Hammer Surround. The Output Level on the Volume Maximizer acts like a Brick Wall Limiter. Set it to -6dB and nothing will be louder than that. Use the Threshold to compensate. In other words, place a -20dB test tone on the timeline, set the Output Level to -6dB and lower the Threshold until the test tone reads -20dB again.

One more thing - the most important, if You want to use Wave Hammer as limiter, then You need to check "bypass" at compressor selection, other way it will not work.

Why do you have to bypass the compressor? The Volume Maximizer comes after it so it will limit whether the compressor is bypassed or not? Or were you saying to be careful not to add unwanted compression?

Yes but you make a good point. If you just want to limit and not compress, make sure you bypass the compressor.
