Problem with a Mjpeg compression
on Nov 1, 2014 at 11:53:33 am

HELLO!!! I GOT A PROBLEM!!! Trying to fix it few days.. But, can't understand how to fix it..
So my problem. Example:
I have few videos (MJPEG format). I'm just put few clips in vegas without any effect.. When i try to render. It's show me "no recompression required" ..Seems like everything fine, BUT!! why it's only sometimes?? Some moments it's Comporession, some "no recompression required". When i render video, its seems like different bright.. Blink bright..(Dark, normal...Dark , normal) Dark - it's a moments with compression.

What's a problem? How to fix it??

P.s. Sorry for bad eng..

No recompression is required if the source and render properties match and there is no processing of the video. As soon as you an an effect or crop or do anything to the video, it ill need to be recompressed.

It sounds like you may have applied some FX to the part where it's darker. If so, just remove the FX and it should look like the other parts. If an event has FX applied there will be a green icon in the lower right. If no FX are used the same icon will be grey.

If it's was so little, i never asked here... No any FX.. I try explain more easy by steps..EXAMPLE:
My actions.. OPEN VEGAS > DROP VIDEO> And nothing do anymore.. If compare with original video, in vegas already more dark preview a little bit (and a little bit more contract)..
So when i render compression parts same dark.. Possible fix it?

What are your project properties? Can you post a screen shot? If you are using 32-bit pixel format instead of 8-bit this could cause problems like this.

Can you post a screen shot of the window that pops up when you select either of those menu items for Properties...?

Ah, OK. I see that you are using Movie Studio and not Vegas Pro. That's why there is no 32-bit setting. When you said "Vegas" that means Vegas Pro. Movie Studio is not Vegas. I don't have Movie Studio 13 so I don't know why this is happening. Maybe there is a preview setting that you can change but like I said, I don't have Movie Studio so I don't know what settings are there to tell you what to do.

You could always use the Levels FX to make the video brighter until it matches the other video.
