hey there,

I have 2 images one with a bright shiny sun and one with dark human silhouettes and dark environment. Those are PC graphics not real photos.

I want to create a very short animation as the silhouette image standing still in front while the sun image slowly moving from left to right in the back meanwhile it prints sun shafts between the legs of the dark shades onto the silhouette image that naturally follows the movement of the sun.

I don't know if it's possible in Photoshop or should I use something more animation-centered tool, like Sony Vegas instead?

Hi Tobin.. Not sure what you are trying to show but this is a 10 minute knock-up to see if it is something like this. Obviously this is only a poor attempt just to get an idea to help the thought process but with png files and a bit of Vegas 3D and tracking you can do lots of things. With the correct graphics it can be quite good .

It's close, thanks a lot!
To being more clear, I got an image similar like this:

and another image with a bright sun. I want to move the sun slowly behind so it prints moving shafts on the black ground area to get a result like this but animated:

If that's possible to do in either PS or Vegas would you tell me how can I do it, please.

Try using the Sony Rays FX on your foreground silhouettes. You can keyframe the source position to track the sun movement.
