Is Vegas Pro 13 powerful enough to handle a LARGE project?

I produce very low-budget feature-length films (90 minute movies). I have done all my previous movies using Premiere 6.5 -- which was fine for my purposes. I just need something basic that will not crash on me.

Going forward - I now must decide between the expensive Premiere Pro or Sony Vegas. My question is -- Can Vegas comfortably handle a large (90-minute) project without crashing or experiencing other difficulties?

I've got a Lenovo K450e with lots of memory and hard drive. I would much appreciate any/all opinions/comments on this. Can Vegas do the job? Is it a smart choice for me.. or do I need to spend the extra money and get the Premiere? THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Of course it is Joe.

Don't be fooled thinking you need to spend the extra money
to get Premiere... You would be in for a rude awakening
at so many levels.

You might want to ask Stan Harrington. He's edited all of his award winning films (The Craving Heart, Bred in the Bone, Perception, & Creed) with Vegas Pro and VASST plug-ins. He also write a book called A Guerrilla in the Midst, on the art of no-budget filmmaking.

You can definitely cut a 90 minute feature on Vegas Pro. Surprisingly, the greatest thing about Vegas Pro is the audio capabilities. Because it started out as an audio tool you can mix your entire soundtrack in Vegas Pro and not have to use any other tools.
