Vegas 12 stopped loading suddenly

Last year I upgraded to Vegas 12 and it has been working like a charm. I just changed my hard drive, on an older machine, put Windows 7 64 Pro instead of XP and suddenly I re-discover Vegas. It almost made me think that I actually didn't need a new machine. I couldn't believe how great my system worked.
I haven't edited anything in 4 months, more or less. Then this week as I tried to open vegas it doesn't load. I removed it completely, re-installed it. Same. I deleted the last three windows update. I still can't use vegas. I have a a version of Vegas 7 that runs fine. The two versions have always ran fine side by side until this week. I have no idea who to bring back Vegas 12, I mean, do I have to compromise my system and delete all my lastest windows update? This is ridiculous. As I googled the issue I realized it's actually common? Really?
Does anybody have a solution ?
Thanks
Philippe

I strongly suggest that you upgrade to Windows 7. I think Windows 6 was called Vista, and it is one of those versions of Windows that everyone was happy to stop using. Lots of problems.

Solved

I uninstalled all the updates to Windows 7 done in September, reinstalled Vegas and I'm all set. So no more updates, I guess!
