DVDA themes go missing
on Aug 31, 2014 at 4:21:02 am

I went to use DVDA to day & find the themes missing. A quick check of Sony program files shows them all there.
Can they somehow unlink themselves & if so how do I re link them?

Thanks in advance

[Paul Gregory] "I went to use DVDA to day & find the themes missing."
You've not said you have CHECKED them being revealed under:
Toolbar > View > THEMES

So, that confirms even more that DVDA has lost its way to your THEMES and it is not a simple SWITCH on.

What's left?

1] Factory Reset?

2] Reinstall?

3] Check you have plenty of System and storage for DVDA to open fully?

I don't know of any other way to get those linkages back.

Maybe others may wish to chime in here?

I was busy so I put off re installing DVDA 6. Before I did so I decided to take one last look to see if things were the same. They weren't all of the themes buttons etc were back in place once more. I found that puzzling & forgot about it for a while.

I hadn't done a PC cleanup for a few days so I ran CCleaner. I don't have the program set to automatically delete what it finds, because I like to see what it finds. Listed for deleting were entries from DVDA.

I don't know how to post pictures in this forum but I did capture a small jpeg of some of them, in case there is a way to display them if wanted. In any event I didn't delete the from what CCleaner found. In any event the background, buttons etc appear to be the same ones that have been around for years so there usage has been minimal for me.

Thanks in advance

It was the latest version of CCleaner that I used which had been downloaded the same day. I only resentfully noticed that this program has a another tab for Applications & on that list is Sony Vegas. I don't know it its a new feature or not or whether or not my problem came from there. I notice that the program also has a tab for advanced users for it to clean out other types of files so maybe this could be ticked at the end of a project & it could clear out old sound peaks etc.

Thanks in advance

Ok, Not sure still if CCleaner would cause that!
