Sony Vegas 13 randomly fast forwards parts of my video
on Aug 25, 2014 at 11:26:07 am

Hi, I'm having a problem with sony vegas 13. It seems that whenever i record from my capture card there are parts that sony vegas fast forwards. its not a rendering issue as it also is shown in the preview window. It is not the raw files fault, because i have checked and even rendered it with windows movie maker without a problem.

**I have noticed that this only happens at parts where my capture card was a little bit laggy.**

Here is an example:

from 0sec-30sec is it extremely sped up
but
from 30sec-35sec it goes back to normal

like i said its not the raw files fault or the renderings fault. It is something to do with the sony vegas settings.

Thank you in advance

What capture card? What is your workflow from source obtaining your material and into Vegas13? Need more details than you've provided.

Hey, thanks for the response.

Im not sure what you mean 100% but I'll answer as best I can.

I record in 720p 60fps with an avermedia hd dvr pci-e capture card.

The raw file is an mpeg-2 ( and has no problems )

I put it into vegas 13 or 12

even before rendering, in the preview window the problem appears. (Where it fast forwards through some parts. Specifically the parts where the capture card lagged a little bit.)

Thank you

Could that initial capture be BAD? In which case Vegas is only revealing what you know already - no? If you know something was broke in the capture, then why pursue alternative solutions to a problem that already exsists? IMO.

Grazie
