Hello there,
First of all, this is my first post, and hope i chosed the right catagory.
My problem is as follow:
When i add some clips into a track, and i make some fade-in and out effect the screen gets a bit weird.
I am not sure how to tell it so i made some screenshot.

Screenshot 1
Screenshot 2

This happends in some of the clips, not all.

There is no any other effects added, only just fades and some got flash effect only (when using flash, the problem is still there)
when previewing the clip with windows media player or VLC its perfect, no problems at all..

What could the problem be?
Many thanks,

Regards

[Bob Hert] "What could the problem be?"
What format is the video? (your screen shot actually covered over the import an information with your browser) What container? (avi, mp4, etc.) what codec (h.264, divx, xvid, etc.)

I'm guessing you are using a format that Vegas doesn't handle well.

Hello there,
Thank you for your reply.
Im sorry, i forgot to put some important information
The files that im importing are all .avi files, each file is around 4GB 1Min in length.
Im not sure about the codec i have recorded them with fraps (it records without quality loss)

Best regards,

Vegas Pro has a history of problems with FRAPS videos. You might want to convert them to M-JPEG with a utility like AviDemux 2.5.

Ah okay i will try this out on my next clip, i belive it will work.

Do you may know why does this occur? (i just wonder)
is it may because of the high bitrate of the video?

Thanks you and regards,

I don't know. It' something about the FRAPS codec that Vegas has problems decoding but I've seen people with similar problems so I figured that's what it might be.
