White sky replacement

Hi

I'm bizzy on a vacation movie in Africa and I want to color grade a white sky to a blue sky. I have tried many tings: sony vegas color correction, BCC color correction, BCC color key and replace the sky, masking in after effects, color keying in after effects. Nothing works.... Can anyone help me, if there's another way to do this (or just know how to do it better)?

I've included the files:

Try BCC Linear Luma Key. Whenever you want to key out black or white you want to use a Luma key not a Color key. Your problem is going to be the transition between the white sky and the blue sky. You need to select a blue that is closer to the real blue sky in the remainder of the pan maybe even using a section of the blue sky footage instead of your fake sky.

I tried to do it with the NewBlue V2 Colour Swap but as JR mentions the transition from where the white is to the blue sky is a bit of a problem. I did only spend some minutes on it so maybe with some effort you can get a better result.
You may be able to do it in small segments in the changes. I did not manage to change the whole sky to the blue that you wanted but just tried to get rid of the white. Just a short clip link of the result.

Yea, I had the same problem. The transition from white to blue looks odd in real life too. You would need to key both sides of that to get it to match.

I did try to cut it into small segments but difficult to maintain a smooth transition of the blue and if it did work if would be difficult to explain exactly how to do it. But like all questions on here if there is a sample of the media then I like to see what's possible. Not heard anything back from Michiel so maybe he already solved it.... John
