How to save only a selection\loop region from timeline as a new project?
on Apr 30, 2014 at 6:26:06 pm

I am trying to save a fragment from a timeline with multiple tracks to a VEG of its own without having to delete everything before and after the needed part.

This question seems to have been answered back in 2005, but the answer provided there doesn’t work for me.

After selecting the loop region, I can’t make Vegas copy —much less paste it into the second opened instance.

My version is a 64-bit Vegas Pro 12.

Eh...? Why not SAVE the original and then SAVE AS CUTDOWN.veg and then delete what you don't want?

Isn't that easier?

Just saying.....

If the needed part is a middle section on timeline, cutting things out from both sides will be twice longer each time. And if the timeline is really long, you’ll also have to zoom out to get to the ends of it.

I don’t know, copy-pasting the fragment itself just seems more intuitive than copying the whole thing and than cropping everything else.
