Sont Vegas Snapshot color does not match the video.

Sample

Here you can see the different between video and freeze image. I took snapshot from Sony Vegas. I do set Field Order to none (Progressive Scan), Deinterlace Method to Interpolate Fields, and Best > Full. Do anyone know how to resolve this problem? Thanks.

You are correct. Somewhere in the making of the STILL, the settings of your project and the placing of that STILL you've got this change in saturation and or gamma. My guess is that you need to adjust the Levels to match.

Easy to cure with Levels.

Why don't you just use a Velocity Envelope with a speed of zero to freeze the frame? Then you'll still be using the original video.

Yea, I'm still a newbie and someone just taught me to do as you said. Just to make sure I'm understanding it right. What I need to do is
1. Split a little portion of video where I want to stop.
2. Copy that part and paste it after the original one.
3. Set velocity of the first part to 0.

Is that right?

[Varot Darasom] "Is that right?"
Yes, but it's too much work. The whole point of using an Envelope is that you don't have to split your events and copy and paste and insert new ones. Here is an easier way:
  1. Right-click the event and select Insert/Remove Envelope | Velocity
  2. Make a timeline selection for the duration of the freeze
  3. Pull the Velocity Envelope line inside the selection down to zero (use the Ctrl key for more accuracy)
While it is still three steps, you left out a lot of steps to move your entire timeline to the right while you insert the new event that you split out. This way is a lot easier and maintains the whole purpose of having it be an adjustable envelope. For example, you can have it stop all at once or slow down over time or even reverse, freeze, and go forward, all by adding an manipulating keyframes on the envelope.

Then, there will be a little portion of events (in your 2nd step selection) that lost, right?
So, I need to make the selection as less as possible, is that right?

Good catch. You can freeze for as long as you'd like, you would just need to extend the right end of the event to include the few seconds that you froze the video. If you speed video up you'll need to make the event shorted and if you slow video down you'll need to make the length of the event longer to compensate. Sorry I forgot to mention that.

Oh, so that's how it's done. Thank you. Next time I make a video I'll use this method. :)

Yes because changing the timing via velocity envelope will change the playback length because there will be more of less frames consumed during the section with a different velocity. Glad I could help.
