I am recording using an HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition by Hauppauge.
The files are in MPEG-2 TS Video (.ts) format.
Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 starts up just fine. I can import the video footage into the media library just fine. The problem hits when I add the video file to the timeline. When I try to add it to the timeline Vegas crashes while it is building audio peaks for the timeline. Always at 18%. Even if I cancel the building of peaks it will crash while previewing the video and audio or exporting it.

I don't know what any of this means and I'm beyond frustrated I hope someone out there can help. I'm running this on a laptop with 202GB free space left on the hard drive.
