First, try updating Vegas 11 to the latest (Build 701) 64bit.

Doing what Steve says does 2 things:

1] You get a version that may resolve bugs for you, if you were getting.

2] Just by installing a more recent Build you are, in effect, reinstalling Vegas.

Why am I making these points? Well, if you have been using the exsisting build happily and now have issues, installing a later Build may not "cure" your issue you're having and then you'd need to look deeper. Also the reinstall may cure an immediate issue but over time even that Build could revert to the situation you've got now.

As Steve says, "First" try the latest Build, but do keep an eye on how you go.

ok i updated today to build 701 but it didn't helped :/
same error at 25% loading
only in this project file

is there maybe a way to open this file in another program and drag the files in a new project ?

i only need the clips, no effects and such
cause it was very time intensive to cut all this little pieces out of hours of filming

Right, now we go to the NEXT STAGE.

Can you add new media to a NEW Project?

Please determine what Media you wre trying to load, that didn't?

It sounds like you have Media that is choking Vegas.

yep there is no problem with other projects

the files are mainly avi files with the lagarith lossless codec
there are some wmv,mp3,jpeg and png files too
but nothing that i don't used before

just to clarify it :)
my problem is not to put media in a project
my problem is that i can't open this previously saved project

Well sure, I do understand, but here we need to be able to deconstruct your Workflow and then suggest/establish which - if any - of the Media types is crashing on your PC.

Of course, and on the face of it, nothing has changed. Well "something" has. And my first line of approach is to establish, at a simple level, that ALL of the previously used media is available to be reopened, again. Hence my invitation to you to confirm by starting a new project and attempt to import the Media you ARE trying to open in this "old" previous project. One thing that made me pay attention is the use of Lagarith. For instance if the CODEC for Lag has lost its way to your file, then Vegas would choke. Try reinstalling the Lagarith CODEC.

The next level would be to ascertain which is any FX plugs are failing.

I'm assuming that you have plenty of space on system drives and that all else is actively working? Yes?

Have you changed the drives or the folders that has your Media? I'm guessing not, otherwise you'd be getting - or you should be! - the Menu that states Media is missing.

I can only suggest different forensic stratagems that I've learnt and employed over the years to help myself.

here is what i tried today:

i tried to rename all folders so that vegas schould say missing files

the next thing i tried was move all the skf files

then i tried to reinstall the lagarith codec

nothing worked for me

then i tried to add all files to a new project
there was no error or something
i saved it, closed it, started it again and get the same error at 17% loading. thanks for the idea :) now i know its one of the avi files.

but what can i do now ? move the files or delete them don't helps

Have you tried to create, save and reopen a project JUST CONTAINING those AVIs? If you are absolutely sure it IS one of the AVIs, download MediaInfo and GSpot and use them to identify what CODEC was used to create the suspected AVI.

Do not be tempted to install further CODECS just to open the AVI. You could be heaping more issues on top of what you may already have. As it is you may well have have gotten into CODEC WARS, this is where sets of CODECS fight with each other for attention of a piece of media.

Have/had you recently downloaded any additional CODEC Packs? K-Lite CODEC pack? Had your issues started soon after doing so?

can it be that he just has to load too many files?

i think the project is corrupted in some way

maybe you can open it
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v7xm4rqkd1kfr1c/p3k2byRxMb
maybe you can save it as a new vegas file and meaybe i can open it again :)
that would be a big help :)
