Can't open this MOV file in Vegas pro 12 (only see audio tracks). The same in Quicktime, only audio. Only VLC can play it.

Fotmat: xd5b, 1920x1080, Millions 24-bit Integer (Litle Endian), 4 Channels 48.000 kHz

Any suggestions?

From a TV studio.

The editor tells me he uses Premiere to edit the files, and he can open them in Quicktime.

I have Premiere and QuictimePro and neither of them can open the file.

I believe you need the Quicktime MPEG-2 component installed for that.

I found it here. It is not free, so you will want to make sure this will give you what you want somehow. Or convert it with some utility that handles the file.

Or Calibrated Software Codecs http://www.calibratedsoftware.com/
Which is also not free.

Thanks Norman and Steve.

I installed Calibrated{Q} XD Decode, Quicktime can play the files and I can edit the files in Vegas 12.

You can probably also use Avidemux, or similar, to simply remux the files into an MP4 or MXF file format and Vegas could read that directly with its own internal decoders. Vegas supports XDCAM EX in the MP4 format.
