[Ross Stark] "Help!!!"Well, Ross, help us. Use MediaInfo and give us the detail of the Audio.

Have you tried to match your Project Settings to the Media? Try that, and see if you can force a “match” then interrogate the Audio.

I can think of two reasons:

1) You don’t have the CODEC. Interrogate MediaInfo and see if the audio CODEC is apparent on your PC.

2) The wav is corrupt.

Can you play it on any player on your PC?

Interesting.

I have played it on the stock Windows10 media player (Groove?).

I'll give both of those options you mentioned a try later when I'm back at my desk. I'll also update for anyone else to reference later.

Thank you for your time!

[Ross Stark] "Format : MPEG Audio"
I'm guessing that this is your problem. While compression is allowed in the WAV file spec, it is almost never used and Vegas Pro probably expects the file to contain uncompressed linear pulse-code modulation (LPCM) format. Try renaming the file with an .mpg extensions and see if that helps because the file contains MPEG audio not PCM. BTW, I've never encountered a WAV file that wasn't PCM.
