To make this video quick, I've been using Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10.0 (as part of the Sony Imagination Studio 2.0 Suite), and it's long overdue for a replacement as it's beginning to crash frequently whenever I use it. Anyway, is there a way in Vegas Pro to interact with timelines in the same manner as compositions in After Effects (as a way to add effects to what stores your layers/media instead of editing them all individually)? I'm sorry if this is an idiotically basic question, but that's where I am right now in my journey
After Effects only allows one clip per layer. There is nothing stopping you from creating a track for each clip in Vegas Pro and stacking them like in After Effects because Vegas Pro has unlimited tracks and the Tracks have composition modes just like After Effects. I would place all of the FX at the Track level and this should mimic an After Effects-like workflow pretty well.
