DVD architect not play as order as set.
on Nov 20, 2017 at 4:56:22 am

Hello Pros,

My DVD architect project has been set order like,

Intro CG(Set first to play) → menu → main stream.
(set also from title order from top (intro as title1) → to main stream(bottom as title3) in DA construction)

When it's played by home SONY DVD player, it is perfectly played as order in DA.
When it's played by old DVD player, it shows title1,title2,title2 text as to be selected by user.
When it's played by PC (VLC Player), it starts with menu.

I have tried DA ver6&7.

Is this normal behavior?

I’m really trying to understand the instructions you’ve made?

You have made a DVD. Have you selected "Set Disc Start" to that MENU? Have you set the “End Action” of that instruction?

Hello, Graham Bernard,

YES Your are right. It is set as you said.

1. Intro CG movie - "Set Disc Start" and End Action to MENU
2.Menu - End Action to MAINSTREAM MOVIE
3.MAINSTREAM MOVIE - End Action to Menu

In PC such as VLC player don't play 1(Intro CG). Somehow VLC skips and starts with MENU.

I have heard before, Win media Player don't show MENU as the first play item when DVD disk play that is software bugs.

Is there any idea of this play order bug?

[carmen emarda] "Is there any idea of this play order bug?"
Both VLC and WMP aren’t meant as a DVD player. Yes they can play DVD Platter Content. But if you wish to play as per your SONY DVD player then you’d need DVD Player S/W. I know VLC gets busy with Chaperts and so on, you need to get to a VLC Forum and quizz them.

DVDA is great at making simple and highly complex DVDs for a DVD Player.

I don’t know if any of this is what you want to hear, but I did try. 😀
