Sorry to be so off topic but can someone suggest a "What you hear" recorder for windows 10?
I downloaded one only to find out it's an evaluation copy, etc and don't like to load up my computer with such unknowns.

Yes. That's what I'm looking for. Is this one free or is there a charge for it? The last one I downloaded didn't say until I installed it and found out it was $45.

I just saw it was about a $40 download. I just wanted it to download one program off NPR so I don't think it's worth it for that one event.

Technically speaking, if it is coming out of your speakers you can record it with any audio recorder/editor. I would recommend you look at the free Audacity editor which also records. You can probably set it up to record right from your sound card. Here is one such tutorial:
