How to Split and Delete (one-step operation)?
on Oct 27, 2016 at 8:10:27 pm

Hi,

I read in the following post in Vegas Magazine that "Split and Delete is super handy".
https://magazine.vegascreativesoftware.com/2016/10/07/vegas-creative-softwa...
So far I deal with split and delete as two operations, and it sounded in the post as a handy one-step operation.
Is it possible to Split and Delete as one-step operation?

Thanks for info!

Carlos

Depending on what you want to delete, you could Trim Start / Trim End. They remove portions of events before/after the cursor position.

Using Alt+[ or Alt+] allows you to delete that part of the event before or after the cursor. A great time saver. (Vegas Pro 12 and later).

Those keyboard shortcuts for Trim Start/ Trim End Richard mentions may not work if you are not using a US or UK KB.

Thanks all for the tips. That is what I was looking for!

In the Brazilian keyboard the shortcuts are in same place, but they have different printing on the keys, as showed here: http://i.imgur.com/k2lu5pA.png

Best,
Carlos
