Vegas cannot render out to this format, so you can follow László recommendation as an option...

Thanks everyone.
I don't use FFmpeg as I don't like command prompts or understand how it works, and really don't have the time to learn yet something else to do. Guess I need a GUI at this stage in my life. LOL!!!

I found some online converters that take time, have to uploaded and downloaded, but worked ok.
Still looking for something free and downloadable with a GUI.

Thanks so much!!

Why don't you go to the web site that developed Webm and use their recommendations? Here are all the recommended tools from the Webm project itself both free and paid for. I suggest you use one of these:

Thanks John!!!
These will be very helpful, the Webm format was a bit of a change-up for me, so I was/am a little scrambling for info. Glad to see there was a page like this for help!!

It looks like webm is a push by Google to replace HTML5 because Google hates when it doesn't own everything. I can't imagine anyone else taking notice of it. HTML5 is the future, not some Google stuff. Good luck with it.

Well, when my biggest client's webmaster wants a version of video in Webm, I kinda need to provide it. Considering they are pushing 50% of my income a year!!!
Everyone wants to own everything. Google, Apple, Adobe, Magix, yada, yada....
The illusion we own anything is real, but that is another diatribe from me for another forum!!! LOL!!!

Thanks John!

I can create GUI frontend to ffmpeg for that specific work, if you want me to...
;)
So, if you didn't find the right tool yet, let me know.

That would be AWESOME!!!

If it isn't too much trouble!!

Are there any real GUI's for FFMPEG out there?

Thanks so much!

So here it comes...
10647_webmconvert.zip
Just unzip it anywhere, and run.
This small program requires ffmpeg.exe to be in the same directory, where it is launched from. I also packed ffmpeg.exe, but you can replace it any time you wish -for example a new version comes out-. You can download it from ffmpeg.org.
I also uploaded the source, in case you -or anone else- decides to improve it:
10648_webmconvertsource.zip
You need Lazarus IDE to compile it.

Originally I wanted to hide ffmpeg window, and display a progress bar instead while it is working. But I don't have experience about webm converting, there may be other bugs in this program, so I decided to let ffmpeg be visible, so it's possible to track what it's exactly doing.
If you find this tool stable and reliable, we can do this improvement later.
Go, get and try it!
And let me know what modifications you need ;)

THIS IS AWESOME!!!

Thank you so much!!
Have you ever considered building a GUI for ffmpeg as a whole? I know I would use it if I didn't have to do all the coding and so forth, just a question, would likely be useful to many!! Likely could generate some revenue as well.

One other issue I always run into is trying to connect the multiple clips my GH4 creates into one long file (I shoot a lot of long concerts and so forth). When using 4k stuff, it drops a lot of clips in a short timeframe.
I don't always want to look at my footage in my NLE or want to re-render things out for clients to preview raw footage.
Does ffmpeg have that capability?

Thanks again so much!!

Thank you for your kind words, and you're welcome ?
The very hard work is done by the developers of ffmpeg, and they give it free to everyone. I won't accept money for something I did based on the free ffmpeg, using an also free great tool (namely Lazarus).
ffmpeg has tremendeous options (and I don't know all of them), I believe, if all of them would appear on a single GUI, that GUI would be overwhelmed. So I don't think it is possible to cover all ffmpeg options in a gui, which is still useable.
This webm converting work needs only few options of
ffmpeg.
I believe, the required options are accessible now for you, for this task. ?
Regarding the other task you mentioned, it is the concatenating. And yes, ffmpeg can do that ?
I can take that job too, but next week only.

That would be really helpful. I have spent about 20 hours looking for something to concatenate these files, but they never work. Probably have tried 20-30 programs, all to no avail or they re-encode which defeats the purpose.
Would you require some GH4 footage to find specific format info? I could upload some to Dropbox and give you the link...

Thanks again so much, this has been really helpful and MUCH appreciated!!

This free ffmpeg GUI covers pretty much any conversion/rewrapping/chopping tasks:
http://www.videotovideo.org/
It's a shame that developer(s) have abandoned this product before they coded in a H265/HEVC option. Maybe some good wizard on this forum would be able to add it into the existing set? Good karma and frequent positive mentioning as a reward :)

This seems to be a very nice program. Thanks for mentioning, I was not aware of it.
However, this is not a gui for ffmpeg, but a standalone program, which uses ffmpeg libraries. (Like VLC player).
