Something happened to ripple.
on Sep 16, 2016 at 7:43:54 pm

Hi,

So I used Vegas pro 10 before.
Now I suddenly find events on the timeline at positions I didn't move them.
Ripple (simple "F") sometimes seems to affect other tracks. Anyone noticed this, or am I the only victim?
(Still didn't find the pattern when and why, so I
And what about track motion keyframes? Ripple (simple ripple) drags them too.
Even if I switch off "lock envelopes to events".
I'm pretty sure in Vegas 10 this worked different. So how to ripple, so that track motion keyframes and track composit level envelope stay unchanged?
I must be overlooking something...

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Press the down arrow next to the Ripple Button in the Toolbar and you will see a number of options concerning the tracks to which Ripple is to be applied. Does this deal with your problem?

A suggestion. In the future "don't" use auto-ripple except for very basic cuts editing. It's much too easy to get things fouled up if you have multiple tracks with titles, etc. I've had the same experience as you describe and its often difficult to get things back to where they were.

CTRL+Z, my favourite keystroke when using Ripple.

Hi,
First, I really never use auto ripple, and also know the difference between F, ctrl-F, and shift-ctrl-F.
But I really feel stupid :(
It was a forgotten and momentarily unseen grouping that involved the other track.
Regarding the keyframes and envelopes, checked back and Vegas 10 behaves the same, so nothing new here.
Again it's my head which is the culprit.

I apologize.
Sorry guys to waste your time

Best regards
