on Sep 13, 2016 at 12:07:30 am

Hello,

I just installed Vegas Pro 13.0 (built 545) (MAGIX) and the trial version of Pluraleyes 4.1 (RED GIANT). Pluraleyes isn't showing in extensions (this is my only extension)! Please help!

Thank you

[Joseph Abaji] "I just installed Vegas Pro 13.0 (built 545) (MAGIX)"
I don't know that build number?

Hi,

Yes, build 545 is the current Magix build. Once I installed build 543, and Vegasaur disappeared. And only when Vegasaur 2.7 (which extension is Magix compatible) was available, took the build 545.
Apart from that "Sony" branding changed to "MAGIX", I don't see any change. No improvement, it seems to suffer the same set of bugs.
So you need to get build 453, which is the latest Sony build, on that your extension will work. This is true, until the developer updates it so that it becomes MAgix compatible.

I always keep my downloaded installers in a safe place offline for my use, so did I with Vegas pro 13 too.
If you can't find it, I can upload it for you to my online storage temporarily.

Best regards

[László Kovács] "Yes, build 545 is the current Magix build. "
Sure is. Plain as a husk on Corn Cob. Now we'll see how quick those Madisonnes get this corrected. Tick tock....

Hi,
you can download the latest Magix build here:
http://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/vegas-pro/

Download the 30 day trial, it is the update as well.

Thanks for the quick response, so the free trial is the latest build. I've bought the xtra svp 13 so as to be elegible for magix pro 14, (or whatever they may call it) so I'll just stay with the last Sony build. I have Pluraleyes and don't want to wreck it. Thanks.

Hi,

you're welcome!
I did the exact same :)
I'm addicted to Vegasaurs quick properties, and when with the update it disappeared at the very moment rolled back. :)
When I noticed that Vegasaur was updated to be compatible, went again for the Magix build to see if it as any better.
It is not.
It isn't any worse either, so I keep it until V14 becomes available.

I think you should contact the author/developer of your extension about when an update is scheduled?

Best regards

Hi Laszlo,
Pluraleyes can also be used standalone, outside of SVP, so if Magix don't get their act together in integrating Pluraleyes then the standalone is an option. It's such an important add-on that I'm confident that they will eventually. Hope ver. 14 gives proper support for modern graphics cards, in render as well as playback.

I have a question about Pluraleyes too.
Until recently I had an old version of Pluraleyes and I was able to lasso the events I wanted to sync and it would sync only those events. It seems the new Pluraleyes only lets you sync the entire timeline. Is this correct or am I missing some feature? Thanks
Roger

Red Giant Software developers gonna have to update Pluraleyes for compatibility for the new Magix Vegas
brand. Or you an simply go back to Sony Vegas build 453 and you will be ok.
The 545 build was just a branding change, so extensions and scripts are affected, Sadly!
