adding sun rays

Hey there,

I have 2 images:

I want to create a very short animation where the sun moves slowly in the back while the other image stands still in the front. I also need some rays on the black ground areas that follows the sun's movement, in this style:

Is this possible to make the rays in Vegas? If so, would you instruct me please how can I do it?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the tip John, I meant it's not that easy because the alpha channeled front picture messes up the ray prints. However I managed to solve this issue by adding a third image of a flat mix of the two involved image and then used the rays plugin with the "Effect only" option.

That was a good solution. Sometimes you need to duplicate a track to use as a mask for other tracks. Im glad you figured it out.
