Can Episode use a Flash video .swf file as the source file? I need to convert one to a Quicktime file, but the .swf file is unreadable by Episode.

Here a link to a PDF with Episode format support.

I haven't been able to use SWF as a source though. The above PDF implies that it should work if it's h.263 (Flash 7) or VP6 (Flash 8) on the "inside."

Yes, I had read that list of supported formats, and it did seem to indicate that Episode could use .swf as a source file. This particular file can be opened and played in Quicktime.

I'm going to do some investigating and see what's up with flash input support.

Yes, it should be able to do that. If you have a file containing audio and video that doesn't, please send a message to the episode support and they will take a look at what is wrong.

I sent examples of Flash7 and Flash8 SWF files that Episode 4.3.1 couldn't use as source. Magnus says they've found the issue and have a fix in the works.
