Library Transfer

I've got a new Win8 computer that's more video editing capable than my not so old Win7 computer. I've already installed Particle Illusion.
Is there an easy way to transfer the library from the Win7 computer to the Win8?
Not wanting to create another library from scratch. Gives me a headache thinking about it.
Thanks for any feedback.

Just find your "Emitter Libraries" folder -- it should have lots of .il3 files in it. Copy everything in that folder from the old computer to the new one.

Note that if you have pIAE or pIOFX installed too you may have more than one "Emitter Libraries" folder. You should be able to tell which one is actually being used.

It's a good idea to backup this "Emitter Libraries" folder once in a while too, unless you never edit emitters or create your own and don't mind downloading everything again if you lose it.

Yes that works.
However
I should have chosen my words more carefully. I created custom emitter folders. Fireworks, explosions etc. The type you launch through the quick load library function. I invested a lot of time creating those folders but I can't figure out where that info is stored.
That's what I don't want to do all over again. I sure hope you can help. 3000+ emitters is something you only want to sort through once.

Thanks,Terry

Those are just subfolders in the "Emitter Libraries" folder. Copy them all over.

If you don't see the subfolders, then you're looking at the wrong "Emitter Libraries" folder.

Well now that you put it that way.
That was way to easy. Worked like a champ!
Thanks so much. :>)
