PI AE questions
on Apr 8, 2013 at 1:47:09 pm

Just purchased AE version, feeling a little bad since you can´t draw curves for the emitters ( or have anyone a hint here?) also the missing of deflectors , will this be later on or is it just impossible to do?

I have used 3.0 for a long time and noticed in AE version I can use canvases up to 5400x1080 f.ex,in
3.0 1920x1080 is the limit. That´s my choice to also buy AE version, but missing curves was a big downer.

There is no way to get a curved line emitter (which I think is what you're asking about). Also, deflectors are not in there, and probably won't be added -- sorry to say.

Why do you think pI3 has a limit of 1920x1080? You can render almost any stage size you want -- just type the width and height values you need.

Hi, Thanks for replying!
I do miss the functions you have in PI,most are gone in PI AE, but I understand that they are two
different version of course, deflectors..hmm. to bad ( hade a hope that it was maybe coming)

Alt+click on position in PI gives a bezier curve on a position key, in AE version not,
Maybe I miss something here.....?

About the resolution, I´m on mac and when I type in a big,big resolution, the output seems limited to
1920x1080 as max, never get the render result bigger then that....hmmmm, need to get closer to this again as you say it will work.

I do really like PI, such a great and fast application, would not make my work without it....
Really hope that it is not just parked as "ready and done"...

Once you're in AE, you use AE's UI conventions. So however you normally create a curve in AE is how you do it in pIAE too -- alt-click only works in the standalone version of pI.
