I forgot to mention that I finally released the January emitter libraries a couple of days ago.
Tom created some quite complex HUD-style emitters -- really amazing stuff as usual. Since most of the emitters used more than 8 particle types (the limit for an emitter in pIAE), I had to split up the emitters into two parts each -- you'll see these named with "part_A" and "part_B" in the first folder of the library. To get the full effect of each of these emitters, you'll have to add both parts in AE.
If you're using pI3 (the standalone application) just use the unsplit emitters from the second folder.
(Since there are two copies of each emitter here, the library looks larger than it actually is.)
Since this is another "fat" library, full of textures, it may crash pI3 after adding an emitter (not pIAE). I've found no specific cause for this, and it's not repeatable. So be careful and experiment a bit with these emitters to see what happens on your system.
The problems only occurred when the emitter was added to the stage. It would crash pI as soon as the mouse button was released usually -- you didn't have to render any output. If it's a problem you'd know as soon as the emitter was added.
Incidentally this sort of thing happened with the library from a couple of months ago too.
