Using NOT black background?
on Mar 6, 2009 at 11:57:16 pm

Hi again,
Ok I am still very much a noob at all this.
I am doing a chroma key project.
I have the keying done well.
I am using Sony Vegas Pro 8
For the background I am using "cloudy sky"

Proble: the particle Illusions look washed out on the white background. Is there (what) am I missing or not setting up correctly?

Thanks
Steve

I'm not sure as you haven't given enough details, but try these things:

- In particleIllusion, render on black background, then when you check "save alpha" in the output options dialog, make sure "remove black..." is checked.

- You can edit the properties of the emitter itself -- double click it on the stage to open the properties dialog, then click the "particles" tab, and check the "preserve color" option that's next to "intense".
