Request: Future version of PI
on Nov 14, 2007 at 3:53:21 am

Hi Guys,

We have a percussion ensemble performing here at uni.
They have asked me to create vision for a piece called "Defying Gravity".
It will be a good opportunity to use PI animations with a VJ program.

Is it possible in a future version of PI that an external audio input could affect what is played back on the timeline and that can then be used on an external display?
-------
Elvis. Cosmic Imbalance is fantastic. Florbacious Gorshnack. Where did that name come from?
Bill and Ted join a Vogon poetry band?
-------
Alan it looks like we may have a lab that has PI as part of the image next year. It's been awhile coming but a great outcome for our students.
---------
Keep up the good work

cheers

Andy

If you're talking future versions, then keep in mind that whenever the pIllsuion AE plug-in is ready it should be able to do this using automatically generated audio keyframes.

Oh, and it looks like our esteemed particleIllusion creator is giving a sneak peek of pIllusion AE in thevery near future:

Hi Aharon,

I'll look forward to it.

For those of us who live at the edge of the known physical universe ... perth, australia.
Will the MGLA meeting be podcast?

cheers

Andy

Sorry... I have no idea. I'm on the other side of the country. You should visit the MGLA website for more info, and contact them if you have questions.
