I finally getting to use my mac version of Particle Illusion 3 along with Combustion 4 and Cinema 4D. One of the things I would like to be able to do right of the bat is have z-depth. Is it possible that this will become a feature in a future version PI?

Alan has commented here that Version 4 of pIllusion has the aim of going 3D - until that version, you will definately not see 3D, and certainly not Z-Depth information.

FOr now, I suggest you render layers seperately and then combine them in a program like AE or compbustion, and apply effects like blur to them seperately to simulate Z-Depth.

Thanks Aharon. I appreciate that feedback on a workaround. Also, that good to hear that 3D is coming. I've been dealing with all of the folks that have been hyping Trapcode Particular as the solution. Things is I'm committed to the MAC platform and Combustion 4 (mac). So, it would be great for P_I to add this and other features. I would be happy to see a better UI (e.g. sliders for adjustments) and 3D for sure.
