When ever I try and add a particle to the library I get a fatal error that closes the application. Since I don't see any posts like that I assume I'm missing a step. I'm trying to add a simple graphic with text. I've used various formats and sizes, but always with the same result.
Just to be clear... When you say add a particle to the library, do you mean add a particle type to the emitter, add a particle shape to the emitter, or add the emitter to the library. You can't add a particle to the library - only emitters can be added to a library.
For clarity: a library contains emitters. Emitters emit particles.
We can't help you if we aren't clear on your problem, so let us know what you mean exactly.
Also please list the exact steps you are taking that lead up to the crash.
Thanks for the reply. I am attempting to add an emitter to the library.
The exact steps are as follows:
1. Select Logo Spin shrink 1
2. Right click
3. Select properties
4. Select particles tab
5. Select change shape
6. Click the "plus" sign
7. Select a jpg graphic which has text only and is sized at 320 by 240
8. Select full color
9. Select make active
10. Select OK == It is at this step that I get an error message telling me "error saving il3" and make sure file is not read only. Then I get a MS OS message telling me that the program has encountered a problem and needs to close.
