Emitter Image Size
on May 16, 2006 at 3:03:00 am

Is there any way to change the size of an emitter's images to 720 x 480(or 486) or at least in that ratio? All that I see are options that either crop or stretch my image. Thanks for any help.

You can try importing it as stretch, and then once you've activated the shape, right-click on Size in the emitter's hierarchy, and uncheck the Lock Aspect option. That will allow you to resize the particles independantly on the X and Y until the image is back to 720x480.

Note that you should not use particle shapes that large unless the particles themselves will be that large. If the particles will be 100 x 100 pixels on the screen, then using a 512 x 512 shape image is both a waste of memory, and will result in lower-than-expected image quality.
