Tranceparancy in ParticleIllosion
on Feb 18, 2006 at 10:37:51 pm

Hi,
I want to do an explosion with text behind it.
this is how I would do it:
Do the explosion in ParticleIllosion and then export it to a jpeg sequence and import it to after effetcs.
But I can not get any text behind it because the explosion has a black backround.
Is there a way to get transparent background in ParticleIllosion?

Peter.

You need to render the explosion to a file format that supports alpha channels to let After Effects know where the transparent areas are. JPGs don't have alpha channels, so you'll need to render to either PNG, TIF, TGA or one of the other image formats, and then check the Save Alpha box in the Output Options.
