I had a man breathing out smoke. I used the shoot smoke emitter and set emission angle so it would come out of his mouth sideways. I then wanted it to float up as it faded away. However, when I changed the weight setting, it just made the smoke go faster in the direction it was already heading. Is there a way to make it float up after shooting out to the side?
plus you may want to play with it's weight over life property, so that it has no weight at first, and then gets heavier and floats up a little later. Not being a smoker, I can't say that this is exactly realistic, but I think it is - first, as smoke is breathed out it shoots out, and then it disipates as it rises.
